With national and international trophies, the avant-garde sensation bagged an unparalleled honor when the town authority named one stadium just after her in her birthplace, Dallas. But that couldn’t move Sha’Carri Richardson a bit from staying humble or benevolent to her close ones. Even in her rough days, the 23-year-old remained atop in following her rules and regulations.

As a part of that, the sensation has flaunted several hairstyles and nail designs throughout the years. The last appearance of the fastest woman sprinter of 2023 in 100m in the USATF awards evening conjured her fashion statement firmly.

For her achievements throughout the 2023 season, Sha’Carri Richardson found herself in the League of Legends. The reigning world champion in 100m followed the night in that way only when she was called to receive the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Female Athlete of the Year award.

The sporting icon appeared in her natural hair color with a styling that can give a major empowerment goal to black women. Even on stage, her statement echoed the empowerment in the garb of motivation.

She added, “Everything happens when it’s supposed to happen”. USATF flaunted her chance in the caption of their IG post, “It’s Sha’Carri Richardson’s time” 

On many occasions, Sha’Carri Richardson’s nail sightings garnered her comparison with the legendary Florence Griffith Joyner. Even her performance in WAC 2023 and Diamond League of this season also matched with the Fastest woman in history. However, Richardson herself has wanted to project her presence through her fashion. Her hair and nails supported her well in that manner. 

Never off the trend

In Oregon this year, Sha’Carri attracted eyes when she pulled off her brown wig when the host announced her name. Fervently, after her name announcement in that 100m race, she flaunted her real self by shedding the unnatural color and showing the star she was. At the onset, she claimed, “rip me out the wig cuz I been acting brand new”.

She continued that avatar in the 2023 Diamond League final as well. There, she came out more naturally, without any braids or color. After winning, she reasoned, “I had to pull out the natural”. In her World Championship this year, she ornamented her long braids with a red and blue tinge of colors, as predicted, success chased her on that occasion.

However, after facing suspension from the Olympic berth in 2021, Sha’Carri Richardson flaunted her brown-colored hair without a wig but with wavy strands. Now this time, she has preferred to keep her look natural as much as possible.

Interestingly, as Richardson is all girded up to sprint her way to the top in the 2024 season, her fandom anticipates in intrigue, that what new hairstyle will the sprinter be donning in the French capital.
