Netflix has finally announced the release date of the much-awaited series. SPRINT will grace everyone’s screens on July 2nd, 2024! They first announced the documentary last summer. The first season six-episode documentary will follow Richardson and Lyles’ journey throughout the World Championships in Budapest. Fans will be able to watch their favorites battle it out to become the world’s fastest humans. But they will also be able to look past their lives on the track, getting several glimpses of who they are behind all the speed and accolades.

However, they have also announced a second season. This will follow their journey in Paris, where they will be vying to bring home the coveted Olympic gold. While dates for the same are unclear, fans will finally get to see what goes on behind the scenes on the world’s biggest stage. Track and field events will kick off at the French capital on August 1st.

After proving why they’re best on the track, the sprinters have now shifted their attention to the Summer Games that will commence on 26th July. Sha’Carri Richardson, who previously missed out on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to an unfortunate ban, will soon be making her debut on the grand stage. Apart from Richardson’s flamboyance on the track, she is also looking to be the first American woman to win the 100-meter dash since 1996. Seeing how she qualified in the event with 10.71 seconds on the clock, Paris is bound to witness a stellar show.

While fans always know where their favorites are during the Summer Games, they don’t seem to know what they are up to between the four-year gap. But he is hyped about letting people in nonetheless!

The docuseries will closely follow the lives of several elite sprinters from the US, Ivory Coast, Kenta, Jamaica, Italy, and the UK. Lyles continues, “I’m excited to see how everyone else’s World Championships went. I can only see so much from my angle. I love to see the whole picture come together; I love to see the moment made.” One of the perspectives fans will get to witness is of the second fastest women in 200m, Shericka Jackson.
