As per the reports from NBC Sports, Richardson received a significant honor when a track in her home district, Dallas, was named after her. This was the same place where the sprinter attended elementary school through high school. On Thursday, the Dallas Independent School District board, with a mutual agreement, decided to dedicate the track at the Jesse Owens Athletic Complex’s John Kincaide Stadium as the “Sha’Carri Richardson Track.”

While the runner was in school, she achieved some major milestones, including winning a streak of Texas state 100-meter titles in several junior and senior years, as well as 200-meter titles during her junior and senior years. To add more, she then transitioned to Louisiana State University and clinched the NCAA 100-meter title at the university.
