Chic hairstyles, long nails, and a fiery persona are what Sha’Carri Richardson loves to don when she graces her presence in her beloved arena. Along with clinching accolades one after the other, she makes sure to leave her fashion statement on the field. However, as the sprinter made a comeback after a two-year hiatus, she wanted to do something different. Hence, when her name was being called out at the 2023 USA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, she tossed her iconic orange wig and took her position on the starting line in an all-natural look.

Ever since then, the sprinter has been on her spree while donning her natural hair, with the same penchant for long modish nails and the winning spree in her mind. Following suit, she once again made many heads turn her way by flaunting another natural hair look.

As Richardson continues to embrace her natural hair look since the 2023 USATF, she dropped yet another look on her social media handle that took all the social media brownie points. She penned, “Natural as can be.”

Following this, one of her fan pages re-posted her look on their social media handle with the caption “her natural hair (brown heart emoji)”

In the video, the sprinter can be seen in shoulder-length straight hair, basking in the sunlight with an adorable simile.

Interestingly, Richardson’s fashion statement, on many occasions find a similar ground with the iconic Florence Griffith Joyner, as both the sprinters did not only reach the pinnacle of their track and field vocations, but also left an indelible mark through their bold fashion statement.

Taking about Flo-Jo’s vogue, fashion historian Darnell-Jamal Lisby once stated, “Flo Jo set the foundation: using style as a way to culturally connect to their athletic craft and visually remain a voice for the communities they represent.” Following suit, Richardson also holds an unfeigned perspective on donning a style that stands unique and defines one’s persona.
