In a recent tweet from Track Spice, it was revealed that Christian Coleman has made a significant change in his training regimen after his disappointing performance at this year’s Olympic trials. The tweet stated, “Christian Coleman spotted training with Dennis Mitchell at his Star Athletics Track club in Montverde, Florida, alongside his girlfriend Sha’Carri Richardson. Big move from Tim Hall, who has been with Coleman since his college days.” Coleman, who failed to qualify in both the 100m and 200m events, appears to be realigning his preparation strategy with a new coaching setup.

He came fourth in the 100m behind Kenny Bednarek, Fred Kerley and Noah Lyles with a time of 9.93s. In the 200m, he came fourth as well with 19.89s. In addition to Bednarek and Lyles, Erriyon Knighton secured a spot in the event. In 2021 too, Coleman was barred from participating in Tokyo because of three failed drug tests. So to make sure he gets into the 2028 LA Olympics, he may be training somewhere else. 

However, the decision may be motivated from the fact that the two sprinters are rumored to be dating. In a tweet shared by Wande Diamond League, the US sprinter only had praises during a press conference. They captioned it with a quote saying, “She’s a beast. @__coleman is full of love for fellow star @itsshacarri.” Coleman has also credited her to being at the forefront of women’s empowerment and for taking it to a “whole different level.” 

Sha’Carri Richardson even took to Instagram to wish her rumored boyfriend on his 28th birthday. She posted a couple of pictures, captioned, “Happy Birthday to a legend, a true icon_@_Coleman2”. They were also spotted by fans at a McDonalds in Budapest during the World Athletics Championships last year. It was Track Spice who kicked off the rumors. However, since it’s a known fact that Sha’Carri Richardson has an ex-girlfriend and is bisexual, we’re still waiting for an official statement.

Naturally, track and field fans are slack jawed at this sudden news from Track and Spice. Though some of them are more skeptical than others. They expressed their disappointment in Track Spice tweeting fake news writing, “This is false information, him & Sha’Carri don’t date! They’ve been made that clear when people started assuming that at world championships last year in Budapest. & Sha’Carri even said she dates women.”

Next fan totally skipped over the news of Coleman apparently changing his training club and was totally caught up in the term ‘girlfriend’ being used with regards to Sha’Carri Richardson when talking about Coleman. They wrote, “the biggest news to me here is that coleman is dating sha’carri lol”.

Another fan expressed confusion over the news. They called to question the validity of the rumors given that Sha’Carri Richardson is known to be queer and has been vocal about past relationships with women. They remarked, “What?
