On Day 2 of the Prefontaine Classic, Ingebrigtsen continued his incredible journey in the men’s 3000-meter run. Ingebrigtsen’s performance was extraordinary. He crossed the finish line in 7:23.63, securing victory in a neck-and-neck battle with Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha. The margin of victory was razor-thin, with Kejelcha finishing just a hundredth of a second behind at 7:23.64, setting a new Ethiopian national record.

Ingebrigtsen’s finish time of 7:23.63 not only claimed victory but also shattered the Diamond League record. A recent video on YouTube by NBC Sports captured the run and the breathtaking finish between Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Yomif Kejelcha. The Ethiopian runner clocked in a 7:23:64 and missed the crown by 0.01 milliseconds.
