After shining brightly in hurdle and long jump events, the Jamaican National Team is all set to clinch another accolade in its next racing event. This time, the Caribbean nation is girded up to lock horns with the US sprinting team and bag the crown of the 4x100m race. As the anticipation builds for the relay, Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce are returning to the track once again to finally bag the gold medal.
A viral social media post showed the Jamaican track team practicing for the event. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Briana Williams, and Shashalee Forbes will participate in the 4x100m relay race. The solid lineup is all set to give Team USA an uphill competition.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to run another 100-meter race

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce stood third and bagged bronze in the women?s 100-meter singles. Her knee injury cost her another world championship by a mere margin of 0.12 seconds. However, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce accepted her bronze medal with gratitude. While she accepted the medal gracefully, Pryce now looks forward to bring gold to the ‘Land of Springs’.?

Interestingly, along with Pryce, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Briana Williams, and Shashalee Forbes will also grace the tracks of Budapest to run in the relay. Now, as the Jamaican team is all set for the upcoming relay race, fans and spectators witness the team in the arena practicing for the 4x100m dash.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will be running another 100-meter race. However, she will have the support of her compatriots this time. With the addition of Elaine Thompson-Herah, who missed the 100-meter bout, Jamaica is ready for the showdown.?
Shericka Jackson brings home the 200m title
The Jamaican relay race team does not feature Shericka Jackson. However, Jackson has already landed a heavy blow with her performance in the 200m finals. The Jamaican ran at an astonishing speed, leaving not just Sha?Carri Richardson, but Gabby Thomas in her wake.

Jackson led the race from start to finish and was miles ahead of the competition and clocked 21.41 seconds. While Richardson gave herself a boost after the turn, it was not enough to defeat Jackson. The victory came right after Richardson had bested Jackson in the 100m event.
However, the 23-year-old Sha?Carri Richardson enveloped Jackson in an embrace after the race ended. Despite winning the medal, Jackson looked visibly upset as she came very close to beating the world record, but couldn?t.
The warm embrace showed the immense respect these athletes have for each other, despite being highly competitive. The onus of continuing what Jackson started has now fallen on the relay team. With this, he Jamaicans have already taken their positions, and are ready to strike their final blow and leave Budapest as winners.
