Stars galore at the recent NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. After qualifying for their first-ever Olympics in Paris, both Quincy Wilson and Masai Russell were feeling on top of the world. But their happiness soon doubled. Being the youngest male US track Olympian and medalist in history, Wilson won the gold medal as a member of the triumphant 4x400m relay team. Likewise, Russell too got her hands on the prized Olympic glory as she won a gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the French capital.
While this might seem like the peak of their happiness, little did they know that the accolades were just starting to come. Within weeks of their sporting bliss in Paris, the duo got called up to the NFL game in Baltimore. Before the start of the game, the pair received special recognition at M&T Bank Stadium and also got to meet with some of the Ravens’ superstars. In a video posted on X by NBC Olympics and Paralympics, both the gold medalists could be spotted enjoying their time in the middle with their respective medals.
But they weren’t the only athletes lighting up the game! WNBA superstar Angel Reese was spotted having a blast with the young brigade. She, along with Olympic track stars Masai Russell and Quincy Wilson, and Wizards rookie Bub Carrington, posed for a fun photo before Sunday night’s showdown. Masai Russell rocked a Ravens number 10 jersey, while Wilson and Carrington sported number 8. Meanwhile, Angel brought her A-game in a stylish casual outfit, proudly flaunting her WNBA jersey alongside the Olympians.

Adhering to the principle, Masai Russell entered the first ever all-female track and field event, Athlos NYC recently. Showing immense grit and determination, Russell finished with a time of 12.44s to clinch third place in the Alexis Ohanian organized race.

Both the young phenoms of US track and field attended the same school. The Bullis School in Maryland. Having a deep love for track and field, the duo trained under the same coach, Joe Lee. Lee, who has been in service for the Bullis School for twelve long years, had his best moments coaching Russell and Wilson. After all, it is already a huge accomplishment coaching a rookie into an Olympic champion. But Lee had his joy doubled. With two Olympian students under his belt, it is quite expected that Lee is currently on cloud nine.

Spilling out thoughts from his elated state of mind, Lee said to NBC Washington, “We started our program ten years ago and we just kind of built it and have amazing athletes like Masai and Quincy and so many others.” Currently, Wilson is still part of the institute as he is yet to graduate. However, Masai Russell has already bid adieu to the Bullis School, passing out in 2018. Thus, being nurtured properly since childhood, both the athletes have gone on to attain monumental successes in their careers. Now, it is expected that they will continue with the good work in the future.
