Michael Norman has punched his ticket to Paris. Running in the individual 400m discipline, Norman came in close behind Quincy Hall’s 44.17s to set up a date in Paris. The stage was set for a clinical showdown between Quincy Wilson and Norman, but it was the other Quincy who took all the glory. And despite coming up short of 0.24s, Michael Norman clocked a stupendous 44.41s to take the second position. Now the former COS sprinter is headed to Paris.

He shattered the clock as he fizzed through the tracks in the semis like a bolt out of the blue. Speaking after the race, Norman reflected on how Quincy Hall ignited the fire within him to push himself more and come out stronger. Norman said, “Yeah, I think just talking to Coach Watts, you talking about running down the backstretch. So starting to find our rhythm. But today, Quincy got the best of me, so I mean, it’s gonna be a good competition in Paris, so I can’t wait.”

As a matter of fact, Quincy Hall has been around the track and field realm for quite some time. His ascent to glory began way back in 2017. Competing in the Pan American U20 Athletics Championships. He then went on a gold spree, securing medals in the NACAC U23 Championships(2019), NACAC Championships(2022), and the World Championships(2023).
