For Armand ‘Mondo’ Duplantis, flying over the bar with finesse has mattered the most when the Olympics is around the corner. He has not cared to record his individual best in the pole vault. Rather, he has preferred not to dismantle the bar in his event in any way possible. Additionally, Mondo Duplantis has wanted to weave a healthy relationship with his fellow competitors and fans. On this, the Olympic champion has said to a news agency, “To see them embrace me like that after doing a jump, breaking a world record, I’m thankful. I just feel very thankful.” Mondo Duplantis seemed to achieve both his urged delicacies in his recent IG post.

Recently, Mondo Duplantis posted a snippet from his net session. His fans couldn’t hold their joy in seeing their favorite athlete trying on new heights.

The post showcased Mondo Duplantis in his regular practice session. But what remained different was the height the reigning Olympic champion tried to cross. The set bar showed the ambitious height in the close vicinity of 20 feet. That was enough to go beyond human reach. Mondo captioned the post with emojis of a running man and a flight.

Reportedly, during this year’s Diamond League final, Mondo cleared a height of 6.23 meters, surpassing his previous record of 6.22 meters. Both these heights exceed 20 feet, and both records were achieved during his indoor performances. However, at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest this year, he faced a setback at 6.10 meters. Despite this, the Swedish athlete secured a gold medal at the event. However, his performance in that particular leap didn’t resonate as a typical ‘Mondo Show’ for his fans. When Mondo’s supporters came across the mentioned Instagram post, they began expressing their sentiments.

The track and field prodigy shouted, “Up up and awayyy.” The comment might feel the exact happening in the posted video as Mondo Duplantis almost touched the ceiling in that session. The same mode of disbelief echoed in the statement by the IG handle, zafirah_green726, who claimed, “I think they need a tall facility for him to train in. He almost hit the ceiling lol.”
