The excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics is increasing day by day. Athletes like Noah Lyles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Mondo Duplantis, and many more have thrilled everyone with their performances around the year. Now, fans of all these sportspersons are eagerly awaiting for them to win gold medals at the Olympics.

With just 211 days left in the calendar till the mega-sporting event begins, athletes are performing their best to book themselves a slot in Paris. Interestingly, it’s not just the players who wish to go to Paris, but their fans want to see them live as well. But, how much will it cost you to spectate the Paris Olympics from the stands?

The expenses just to reach the venue of the Paris Olympics

Sports media creator Fitzdunk recently added a new post on his Instagram handle and broke down the cost of spectating the Olympics from the stands. The former Olympic medalist said that the Paris Olympics will go on between 26 July – 11 August 2024. However, the track events will take place from 2 to 10 August.

Estimating the total cost just for track and field events, Fitzdunk first mentioned the cost of reaching Paris from the US. He estimated that it would cost a person an average of $1000 to reach Paris via a flight. He also cautioned that if one doesn’t book their tickets fast, their Paris Olympics flight will end up costing a lot.

Next, he moved on to hotels and lodgings. Fitzdunk revealed that while the lowest rates are around $150, the expensive ones can be around $600 or more. Considering an average of $250, and a stay of nine days, the cost will reach around $2250. Thus, just the basic expenses reach up to a whopping $3250. But what about spectating the games at the Paris Olympics?

The cost of watching the games from the stands

Talking about tickets to the stadiums of Paris, Fitzdunk quoted a price of $50 for the low-end seats. He also mentioned that the high-end arrangements come at a price of about $600 once again. Calculating the cost of spectating all track events at the Paris Olympics, he added another $3000 to the budget.

This means your wallet must have at least $6250 to have a neat experience. The sports media creator further said that one must carry a minimum of $500 for other expenses which includes food and transportation along with other miscellaneous costs. Moreover, one would also like to travel and buy French goods, since they won’t be finding themselves in Paris every day. Are you willing to shell that out for an Olympic experience?
