In an exclusive Instagram post by People Magazine, Allyson Felix and Kenneth Ferguson were captured intimately in the delivery room. The tender image showed the Olympian cradling her newborn son while they rested together in bed, while her husband lovingly beamed with joy across the room, looking at his little world. The accompanying caption featured a statement from the couple to People, which read, “We are overjoyed to welcome our son Kenneth Maurice Ferguson III, who we will lovingly call Trey.”

Born on April 10th, weighing a healthy seven pounds, eleven ounces, Baby Trey’s arrival marked a moment of immense joy for the family. Supported by a doula, Allyson had an unmedicated VBAC, as she deeply desired. Reflecting on the experience as powerful, challenging, healing, and beautiful, Allyson is inspired to continue advocating for black maternal health and supporting women. As anticipation grew within the sports community for their newest addition, Baby Trey’s arrival was met with even greater cheer and celebration.

Fans and track stars flooded the comment section of the post with an outpouring of love, leaving countless likes and heartfelt congratulatory messages. ATHLETA, who proudly collaborated with Allyson Felix and became the brand’s first sponsored athlete in 2019, shared their joy, saying, “Congratulations Allyson! Trey is beautiful and we are so happy for you and your family. 💓💓💓”

Sara Hall, renowned for her record-breaking feats in marathons, extended her warm wishes, remarking, “So wonderful!!
