There will be four athletes who will be performing the Weight/Shot Double at NCAA Indoors this weekend in Boston. They are McKenzie Long in the women’s 200-meter dash, freshman Mensi Stiff in the women’s shot put, reigning NCAA Champion Jalani Davis, and fellow All-American Senior Jasmine Mitchell in the women’s weight throw and shot put. All-American sophomore Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan in the men’s weight throw and shot put will be leaving his indelible mark too. Last but not the least, Cam Jones from Iowa State will be girding up too. Beau Throws posted on their X handle captioning, “Only four athletes are performing the Weight/Shot Double at NCAA Indoors and three of them are from @OleMissTrack, @JalaniDavis_ (Ole Miss), Jasmine Mitchell (Ole Miss), Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan (Ole Miss), Cam Jones (Iowa State)”.

The first Rebel male to break 66 feet in the indoor shot put is Robinson-O’Hagan. Robinson-O’Hagan has been the first to reach 64, 65, and 66 feet indoors as well as 63, 64, and 65 feet outdoors in less than two years while wearing a Rebel uniform. He also has the added distinction in the weight throw for any distance further than 70 feet. The others from Ole Miss have their own flair in their respective events.
