When Noah Lyles went past the final blue ribbon in the 60m event of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in February, the clock showcased the timing, 6.44 seconds. It was way much better than his previous best, earned at the same event. Noah Lyles may find Tobi Amusan chasing the same dream again 

As the X-handle Track Spice mentioned on March 15, Tobi Amusan is on the brink of participating in four Olympic events. In the concerned X-post, the situation unfolded, “According to the list released by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), the former World Champion is listed to compete in four events: 100m, 200m, 4x100m, and her trademark event – 100m Hurdles.” Eventually, in the 100m hurdles, she once created the world record, clocking 12.12 at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, the same occasion where Noah claimed his 200m world champion crown. Moreover, the spearhead duo met last year as well. 

Last year, in the Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica, Noah registered his world-leading 200m timing. Tobi showed her class there in the 100m hurdle event by keeping the timing at 12.57 seconds. However, in the rise of American opponent, Tia Jones, Tobi has recently faced certain defeats in keeping her top position in a few events. But, her iron-cast persona has already won staggering challenges in the past, keeping her afloat in the situation.

The rise defeating the complexities

In the Boston Indoor Grand Prix this year, Tobi decimated the African 60m indoor record, stopping at 7.75 seconds. Eventually, the timing rose to be his personal best, after battering the Astana Indoor meet. In Boston, she defeated the current WR holder in the event, Devynne Charlton. In the 100m outdoors as well, Tobi Amusan holds the top African records. Now, with Noah Lyles, she is looking up to the bigger dream of being in Olympic history.
