Is moving in together the ultimate test for Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield's relationship?

Noah Lyles is quickly finding out how post-engagement life is going to be a different deal altogether. The 100m Paris Olympic gold medalist got engaged to Junelle Bromfield on October 12 and made the announcement a day later. Two weeks after this life-changing decision, the track and field couple is planning to move into a new house. So, the process of moving has given rise to some humorous situations and exchanges between the two athletes.

Lyles and Bromfield have been together for two years and have often shared insights into their lives with their fans. Hence, it was no surprise that while preparing and packing to move in they shared an Instagram video, where we could see the American and the Jamaican have playful banter.

In the video, captioned ” When Jamaicans pack, we pack everything,” we see Lyles dressed in an Adidas jersey. He looks a bit serious as he tells Bromfield’s friend Gabby to “Come get your friend and follows it up with, “I can’t do this no more.” Lyles then humorously quips, “She packed away all the silverware except for four forks!” as Gabby is heard laughing.

This caught Junelle off guard, and she fired back, “We are moving, we need to pack. Think about it.” But Lyles didn’t let up and continued complaining playfully about her fiance. He added, “Then, this girl tried to eat Texas Roadhouse steak with a fork, couldn’t cut it, so, she just biting at it. Then, she decides that she’s gonna put away all the towels and the washed clothes. Guess who don’t have a towel?”

Bromfoeld chimed in saying, “Think about it though Abby, we have to move, so we have to pack everything. To this Lyles again had a retort adding, “You don’t pack up everything before its time.”

Adding her own touch of humor to the situation, Bromfield admitted, “But guess what, baby? I have never moved before.” The video ends with the American athlete telling her, “I told you already, it’s a bad idea.”

On October 13, the couple announced their engagement in an Instagram post, featuring a romantic video set to Snoh Aalegra’s “Do 4 Love.” In the video, which was filmed a day before, Lyles wore a black suit, and Bromfield was dressed to the nines in a sparkly silver dress. They walked through the doorway of a home and held hands as Lyles led Bromfield outside.

There, they came across a candle display and some of their loved ones standing beside an illuminated sign that read, “Will you marry me?” Bromfield was surprised and overcome with emotion as Lyles knelt on one knee and popped the question. Lyles then placed a ring on her finger as they shared a kiss.

The caption of the post by Lyles read, “To My Future Wife I Will Love You Forever.” Their journey, which began in 2022, has grown into something beautiful and strong. But have you ever thought about who Lyles was dating before Junelle Bromfield?

Was Noah Lyles ever in love before Junelle Bromfield?

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield’s love story is quite the journey, which clearly shows how friendships can blossom into something more profound, even with a few bumps along the way. They first connected in 2017 when Junelle slid into Noah’s DMs, a moment he humorously describes: “Somebody slid into somebody’s DMs,” but quickly adds, “It wasn’t me.

Despite that initial spark, when Lyles and Bromfield met in person in 2018, things didn’t go as planned. “It didn’t click at all,” Bromfield admitted, leading them to decide to just be friends for the time being. It’s worth noting that Noah wasn’t dating anyone before he became friends with Bromfield, making their eventual connection all the more special.

As Lyles and Bromfield continued to build their friendship, they faced scheduling conflicts that kept them apart. When they finally met again at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, they were both involved with other people. Fast forward to 2022—both single again—and Lyles took the plunge and asked the Jamaican out on a second date.

They finally became Instagram official on December 4, 2022, after attending the USATF Night of Legends Awards together. Junelle posted a stunning photo, saying, “Wore black but I still lit up the night,” and it was clear they were ready to share their love with the world.

When Bromfield moved to Florida to join Lyles’ training group, his mother, Keisha Caine, warmly offered her rides to practice and a place to stay. How sweet is that? The couple soon learned to balance their personal lives with their athletic careers.
