Noah Lyles Breaks Silence on His “Missing” Piece of Briefcase to Snoop Dogg at US Track & Field Olympic Trials

Noah Lyles loves to keep mysteries. To carry out that, he often finds his inspiration from the Manga series, where mysterious moves and shifts make the ultimate theme. This season, the reigning world champion did his best to keep the mystery thickening as he carried a shiny metallic briefcase in every outdoor track and field contest. When he had been asked, the reply was to keep calm. On Saturday after winning the 100m heat, Noah Lyles let the mystery box-cum-briefcase open to keep up the interest. The pop icon, Snoop Dogg, became his man Friday to make the occasion far more gripping. 

As the revelation came, the box held Noah Lyles’ track uniform and the reason for his ‘Goku’ like energy, the all pieces of Exodia Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Meanwhile, the anime-loving superstar added, “When a player has all five pieces of Exodia in their hand, they win the Duel.” Notably, on Saturday just before making his 100m sprint in the heat event, Noah had shown the Blue-Eyed White Dragon taking it out from his track uniform. As the legend says, the Dragon card holds the ultimate power and capability, and the best usage of its power is often carried out by Seto Kaiba, the key character from the Yu-Gi-Oh card game. 

The flow of incidents could give a feeling that Noah Lyles has put himself in the place of Seto Kaiba. According to popular culture, Seto Kaiba dominates his opponents riding on the power of the Dragon. Noah has been doing the same all this while- this year, the 26-year-old sprinter has won each of his outfield track events except the Racers Grand Prix in Kingston, Jamaica. But there as well, Noah decimated his predecessor, Usain Bolt’s 100m timing record made at that event. Furthermore, as far as his uniforms are concerned, Noah is keeping a mystery on that part as well. 

On Saturday, Noah Lyles showed up in a golden uniform sponsored by Adidas. Previously, a golden-colored uniform had been his usual preference. So now, any uniform of a unique color may come out of the briefcase. Hinting that, Noah said, “I’ve got three more uniforms and they all come in the briefcase. So we’re going to have to wait each time which color I’m going to be pulling out of that briefcase.”  Overall, Noah Lyles has turned the limelight to himself by creating this hype. Additionally, as per him, this hype would remain at the forefront to excite the audience. However, with his charismatic track entry, Noah Lyles might show a few more characters.

Once Noah Lyles sat with Chase Ealey, the two-time world champion shot putter, discussing their wishes and off-court things. While talking about his dreamy entry to the track, Noah Lyles spilled the beans about his wish to reveal all the cards from the ‘Forbidden One’ series on his track time. 

Notably, the meaning of combining four cards from that series is the fulfillment of Exodia, the ultimate victory over all the opponents. With his child-like glee, the sprinter nodded that he wanted to perform the task. He continued to say, “Every round I am going to pull from my uniform a piece of Exodia until we get to the finals where I just whip out all four”. Moreover, if he’s given a free hand, he wants to bring the Duel Disk from the same Yu-Gi-Oh battles to defeat his opponent. Till now, no update has come on that, but Noah is on his way to combine the four cards. 

And if the streak continues, he will show the other cards as well while chasing his Olympic qualification at the Hayward Field, Oregon. That is another entertaining side of the most competitive sprinter at this time.
