Junelle Bromfield, the Jamaican sprinter who nabbed the 4x100m relay bronze at the 2020 Summer Games, is Lyles’ girlfriend. This newsbreak may have shattered millions of hearts but it didn’t stop making its way to fans’ social feeds.

In August 2023, the couple celebrated their one-year partnership. The social caption of Bromfield was “Cheers to 7 years of friendship, 6 months of dating, 1 year of being your partner. And to forever loving you. #1yearanniversary”. 7 months into their 2nd year of partnership, the couple made fairytale headlines again. But theirs’ is not the usual Prince Charming and Stranded Princess kind of story.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics 200m bronze medalist resorted to his Instagram stories to celebrate his ‘passenger prince’ moment. Capping off the story as “Passenger prince that’s me”, the Olympian captured his girlfriend, gearing up to start the car, but her face shows that she was unprepared for the sudden camera pan.

But from her boyfriend’s voice, the excitement shone through. Last year, after celebrating their anniversary, the couple went on a trip to Jamaica. Fresh off the vacation, she has also proven herself as Lyles’ biggest cheerleader at the 2023 WAC, Hungary. Amid a tight schedule and training for the marquee event, the 26-year-old never skips family time. Especially when it comes to making his pillar of strength feel loved at every opportunity he gets. The couple surfaced on the Valentine’s week for a reason very close to their hearts.

Despite nabbing wins at major championships, Bromfield’s headline appearances skyrocketed after going public about her relationship with track star Lyles.
