It’s finally happening! After months of speculation, it looks like Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek “Cheetah” Hill will finally have his chance to walk the talk and lock horns against Noah Lyles. The NFL star’s banter with The World’s Fastest Man has entertained fans for a long time and now, the former will have a chance to prove his points. But the track and field community isn’t too sure that there’s a lot for Hill to work with.
The football wide receiver, over the months, has claimed that he could take on Lyles without hassle. But Hollywood actor Terry Crews has entered the chat and is pushing the best he can to make the race a reality. However, track enthusiasts strongly believe this isn’t something to debate about, claiming that Lyles will stomp over the NFL star.
On October 13, FloTrack posted on X that Lyles and Hill’s paths may indeed cross, and soon! “Super Serious, co-founded by Terry Crews, will host a race between Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill,” states the social media update, and fans are understandably weighing in on the matter with their respective arguments. Both the stars have been reported to have agreed to the race, as the caption of the post elaborates, “According to the Ad Age report, Crews said that Tyreek Hill has verbally committed to race and Noah Lyles has signed to compete.”

The race between the two American stars is expected to be a part of the Super Serious On Sight series of the Duael competition, which will pit Olympians and other pro athletes against each other in an elimination-styled tournament. That means both Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill will have only one chance to prove their worth over the other. But the track and field community isn’t so sure that it will even be much of a fight from the Dolphins’ celebrity.

But track loyalists believe that the Olympic gold medalist should even have to break a sweat to prove his supremacy over someone like Hill. Alex Olson, evidently a Noah Lyles fan, wrote on X, “Lyles will destroy him,” without deliberation, underscoring how easy it should be for the Virginia native to pick up the win against Tyreek. Soon, more fans arrived with their takes on the matter as well.

Noah Lyles gets backing from the track community
The NFL is among the biggest tournaments in the USA and the world in terms of the high pay it offers the athletes. And yet, one fan believes Hill must be looking at a really high number to want to challenge Lyles in this manner. The race will end in the football star’s embarrassment, the fan believes. “Tyreek Hill must be getting a lot of money to volunteer to get embarrassed by Noah Lyle’s like this There is fast, and then there is Olympic Gold Medalist fast,” commented Jean-Philippe, claiming that the difference between the two athletes shouldn’t even be a debate.
Another track fan, with the username Spaceman500, thinks Hill is looking at a thumping defeat, as they commented, “Hill will get smoked.” Jordan believes this might serve as a lesson for Tyreek, who has been going around making some truly boastful claims about his speeding prowess. “Tyreek gotta learn somehow,” sneers Jordan. Track and field veteran Michael Johnson has said before that while he is a fan of Hill, he doesn’t think that the NFL superstar has what it takes to go head-to-head against professional sprinters, not even the athletes who will be competing in Johnson’s upcoming Grand Slam Track, and these fans seem to think it falls upon Lyles to deliver the message to Tyreek.

Leek, on the other hand, isn’t too sure that Hill will find it in himself to show up at the race. Last month, Lyles noted his disappointment at how Tyreek likes to talk about winning in a race but seems reluctant to actually meet Noah on the track. “Noah signed already and tyreek only verbally agreed…yeah I can see this not happening.” This fan’s statement might have some truth in it.
