Alex Roca, a remarkable athlete, and cerebral palsy sufferer, has become the first person with a 76% physical disability to complete a full marathon. He achieved the historic feat in 5 hours 50 minutes and 51 seconds. Roca created history at the Zurich Marato Barcelona marathon of 2023. Alex’s accomplishment is a living example of how incredible spirit, perseverance, and determination can help in overcoming any challenges associated with disability. Alex’s cerebral palsy affects his ability to walk and causes him to have difficulty with balance, coordination, and muscle weakness.

Roca is suffering from a neurological disorder that affects muscle control and movement. It resulted in a range of physical and cognitive disabilities for the Spanish runner. Despite these challenges, Alex managed to complete the task in under 6 hours. The athlete has been in the news for many of his prior achievements, however, completing a full marathon was a new and significant challenge for him.
