Toss a sprinting challenge his way and he’ll never forget! The reigning 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles broke new ground in Paris by claiming his first-ever gold at the mega stage. Despite combatting the COVID crisis, the man appears to be at the zenith of his athletic powers. You would think who will possibly dare this lion on a hunt? Interestingly, the NFL player Tyreek Hill is eager to show what he’s made off and has now offered him a new challenge, to settle the scores.
Previously, on the Up & Adams show, Hills had claimed, “I’m not going to beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles.” That seemed a pretty upfront dare to a man who is known for his full-throttle sprinting skills. But, things have turned more intense now. Especially, as Hill is now openly keen to battle it out with the world’s fastest man. However, Lyles’ fans are holding solid ground and scoffing at Hill’s invitation.

Taking to X, the Dolphins player Hill recently wrote, “Sign the contract and lock in a 50-yard race.” Publically setting the stage for a showdown, he called out Lyles for a head-to-head. But what incited this reaction? Well, throwing in a quip, Noah Lyles had previously remarked in an X post by Jomboy Media, “What’s the cheetah guy from football, what’s his name? I can’t remember his name. What’s the football player who thinks he’s fast name?” While that seemed a subtle diss, he went all out at the recent podcast.
Tyreek Hill (@cheetah) has responded and appears to want a 50-yard race against Noah Lyles (@LylesNoah).

Recently appearing at the Nightcap podcast with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco, Lyles touched on Hill’s comments. The Florida native said, “Tyreek is just chasing clout. Anytime somebody fast comes up, he says he wants to race them. If he really wanted to race people, he would’ve shown up like D.K. Metcalf.” Lyles words, “The man dodges smoke, I don’t got time for that,” suggested he was unbothered by Hill.
But Noah Lyles is not one to back down. He further assured that if Hill was truly serious about the battle, beyond just claiming on the internet instead of coming to Lyles’ agent and setting something up, he will meet the phenom on the tracks. Thus, from his reaction to Lyles’ “World Champions of what…” comment to the two now actually contemplating a clash, the drama has intensified substantially. Nonetheless, the sprinter’s fans seem confident of the outcome.

Noah Lyles’ fans rally behind him, dissing Hill’s tall claims
Post Hill’s 50-yard sprint challenge, one of the Twitter fans responded, “Tyreek talking sh*t then coming out saying he wants a 50 is lame.” After Lyles recently came third in the 200m race at Paris, Hill had commented that Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him. Hill further said, “Didn’t he want to come out and pretend like he’s sick? I feel that’s like horseradish.” Comparing that with Noah Lyles’ NBA remark, he continued, “So for him to do that and say that we’re not world champions of our sport….Come on bro. Like speak on what you know about, you know what I’m saying? And that’s track.”
Another fan chimed in saying, “Noah Lyles will still beat Tyreek Hill but why not 100 meters is Tyreek afraid.” Well, if one compared Hills and Lyles’ 100m timings, the former’s best was in high school, a 10.19 (+1.8), while the latter’s is 10.14 (+0.9). Hill also has a gold medal at the World Juniors in the 4x100m relay, and a bronze in the 200m event. As for Lyles, he has golds in both 100m and 4x100m relay at that level. But, fans are confident about Lyles. A third wrote, “Reek is all bark no bite. Still think in a 50 yard dash with a gun start Noah would win.”

A particular fan also found Hill’s selection of the distance to be bizzare, possibly indicating his fear. They wrote, “50 yds is crazy 😭 just say you can’t beat him in a race @cheetah lol at least do a 60 if yall would do it” This fan just suspected that Hill cannot beat Lyles, but Rai Benjamin appeared rather confident. In his episode of the Nightcap show, Bejamin put an end to the feud from his end. Addressing Hill, he said, “Imma say it on this show, I’m tired of the Noah Lyles slander man, that’s my guy.” He further assured with great belief that, Hill is not going to beat Noah in the 100.
Another fan agreed to how the challenge is so lame that Lyles should put a price down for his appearance. They wrote, “Lame. Lyles should demand at least $250K to race him.” They possibly felt that the 6-time world champion had no point to prove against this demand. Another one tried identifying a reason why Hill choose this odd distance. They wrote, “He wants a 45meters tho not a 60m. Bcos he knows in a sprint its over dor him when all the other Athletes stand up from their drive phase lol.” The fan felt that Hill could possibly be targeting Noah Lyles’ slow starts. As his speed would be too could to catch once he gains momentum. What do you think of these reactions? Let us know in the comments below!
