Tyreek Hill vs. Noah Lyles—who's the real speed king? Let the debate begin!

Noah Lyles doesn’t seem to doubt his abilities one bit. Challenged by NFL star Tyreek Hill for a 50-yard race, Lyles maintained that he would never back down if this was a serious offer. Nonetheless, the controversy continued to escalate into an intense tussle and has multiple aspects opening up constantly. However, it seems that Lyles remains unfazed as he puts up a cryptic message, reflecting his assertive stand and self-belief.

Taking to X, Noah Lyles posted, “The devil will scream out your failures but whisper your accomplishments. Always trying to make what you do seem lesser. Just know your accomplishments are Great no matter how big or how small!” He comes across as visibly proud of his feats. But, is this a subtle message for his naysayers? Well, possibly. It seems to highlight that even though some may trumpet his failures louder than his achievements, he has faith in the significance of his wins.

Despite delivering what he promised in the 100m race at Paris, Noah Lyles fell marginally short in the 200m. Clutched by Covid-19, the athlete struggled, but did not back out. Eventually, his valiant efforts were good enough for a bronze. However, Tyreek Hill did bring up the context of him being wide off the mark. On the Up & Adams show, the Miami Dolphins star commented, “Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him. You know what I’m saying? Didn’t he want to come out and pretend like he’s sick. I feel like that’s that that’s like horseradish.”

Hill had even added, “for him [Lyles] to like do that and say that we’re not world champions of like our sport it says a like come on bro, like just speak on what you know about. And that’s track.” On the contrary, right from the start, Lyles had maintained that he was proud of himself for showing up on the track. “To be honest, I’m more proud of myself than anything – coming out and getting a bronze medal with COVID,” he remarked. And it looks like he continues to stand his ground, possibly hinted by the post.

Interestingly, Lyles’ cryptic message comes in at a time when his feud with Tyreek Hill is at a fiery stage. Despite his calling it ‘one-sided,’ it is refusing to die down. Tyreek Hill’s challenge and comments on Noah Lyles’ 200m dash results were not all. He had even challenged Lyles, saying, “I will beat Noah Lyles. I won’t beat him by a lot, but I will beat Noah Lyles.”

Hill even challenged Lyles to sign the contract and put down a 50-yard race after the athlete claimed the NFL star was just chasing clout. While the possibility of that hangs in the balance for now, Lyles does not look like one to back down. He had clarified, “If he’s serious about it, not just talking on the internet…if you’re serious about it, you’ll see me on the track.” And now he posts a cryptic message. What do you think of it?
