Sha’Carri Richardson made history on the tracks of Budapest on 21st August. She was competing in the first world championships event of her career, and she blazed through the Nemzeti Atlétikai Központ (National Athletics Centre) Stadium in Budapest like a lightning bolt. She left behind the likes of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson of Jamaica to win the gold. However, she didn’t have the best start to the race, but going by her talent and skills, she covered the distance in no time and etched her name in track and field history forever. The story that Shaq shared on his Instagram was originally a video from Hood Views TV. The video says, “Sha’Carri Richardson just became the fastest woman on earth.” 

Prior to this, Shaq also posted another clip of this sprint in a separate Instagram story. It was also a similar one that captured the brilliance of Richardson on the Budapest track. With this win, she has established herself as the next big thing in the track and field world, as she went past some of the best Jamaican talents running alongside her.

This 23-year-old American sensation did not have the greatest start to the race. By the initial look of it, it looked like world number one Shericka Jackson was going to win the gold. But Richardson had some other plans, and she surged towards the finish line and clinched the world championship title in the blink of an eye.

With this, Richardson became the fastest woman in the world with an incredible time of 9.65 seconds, beating her Jamaican counterparts, Jackson, who placed second with 10.72 seconds, and five-time world champion Fraser-Pryce, who won the bronze with a 10.77-second finish.
