This current double world champion made a statement in a post-race interview which back-fired for him. In his interview, this 26-year-old American said that NBA champions should not call themselves world champions, and his “World champions of what” affirmation went viral. Days have passed since this incident, and Team USA lost against Lithuania in the ongoing FIBA World Cup. In the wake of this, American team has been trolled massively by the online community, and the fans are now backing Noah Lyles.

The United States.” He added that he loves the US, but that is not the world, and said that world is where the countries are fighting and thriving to become the world champions.
