Joe Hale shared some snippets of Nas from the marathon on his X handle and wrote, “@LilNasX in the hightops for 13.1.” The 24-year-old Georgia native ran across the NYC streets donning green tees paired with black joggers and white Coach high-top sneakers on the bottom. His unconventional choice of footwear caused a stir, as he opted for a flashy style rather than an orthodox pair of running spikes and it reflected his persona as a rapper.

It was reported that the Grammy-winning star finished the race in 2 hours and 44 minutes. After the race was done and dusted, Nas was caught on camera chilling with his fans. The Rapper did not look like he was exhausted after that tiring run, which is quite an inspiration for all the track and field enthusiasts out there. However, his white sneakers have caught the attention of his fans; they seem a bit worried about Lil Nas X.

Fans are raising their concern for their idol

As soon as the pictures went viral, people started to spam the comment sections of the post with their views on Lil Nas X’s choice. One fan stated that he would have sustained an injury if he ran in those shoes, as he wrote, “My shins would explode.”

Another fan curiously questioned the reason and rationale for choosing those shoes and humorously wrote, “Asked him what shoes those were… Some random pair of Coach shoes I always exercise in, so I decided why not.”

One other fan took a dig at the rapper and tagged Citius Mag to help him with shoes and commented “@CitiusMag help this man!!”

The reaction “These high tops definitely look like they can’t ride no more. Wonder what kinda training mileage he got out of them” amusingly speculated about the condition of Lil Nas X’s high-top shoes, implying that they may be in no condition to be worn anymore.
