The two-time world champion made Jamaica proud by receiving the honor of her life. She received an honorary doctorate from the University of Technology in Jamaica. Jackson shared the precious moments with her fans and friends on social media after which they couldn’t stop gushing over the track queen. They poured her updates with immense love and support.

After having a phenomenal year on the track, she made sure to end this year with a bang. She stunned all her admirers and her close friends by adding another prefix to her name as she attained an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Technology (UTech) in Jamaica on the 19th of November.

After this beautiful day, Jackson shared a bunch of her photos of the ceremony on her Instagram account. She added a heartfelt caption under this post expressing immense gratitude. “It was truly a special and awesome day yesterday. I am grateful and happy to be conferred with an Honourary Doctor of Laws degree from Utech. The rewards for working diligently, persevering, being resilient, determined, and focused can come from unexpected sources.”

She further added her belief in faith and how contributing towards one’s country should be one of the prime goals for everybody out there. She ended the caption with, “Thank you, Dr. Shericka Jackson, CD”. She honored this proud moment with a series of pictures.

The first picture is of her wearing a degree hat, holding the degree in an white elegant dress paired with classy sandals. The second picture is of her in the graduation costume and the other one is of her carrying the hamper she received from WATA. The other pictures of her were from the ceremony in which her smile said it all. Her fans and followers sighed in awe after witnessing the beautiful moments.

Getting conferred with an honorary degree is another feather added to Shericka’s hat and this is one of her biggest accomplishments. The sprinting sensation Noah Lyles’ girlfriend Junelle Bromfield left a comment on Jackson’s post stating, “Dr. Shericka Jackson ???”.?Not just her, but another track and field icon joined Jackson in her happiness. Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce sending good wishes to Shericka’s way commented, “Congratulations???”.?
