Sha’Carri Richardson made a splash among her fans at the ongoing World Athletics Championships. Ever since she made her comeback on the track, it has been a dreamy run for her so far. She sent a statement with some of her previous races at the Budapest event. Along similar lines, she once again secured a spot in the women’s 100-meter semifinals in a dramatic fashion in this world championships’ finals. Richardson has added another accolade to her already impressive resume and claimed another big win at the World Championships in Hungary in the 100-meter race.

Richardson was up against some of the finest women sprinters in the world, and she made it look so easy. Sha’Carri Richardson did not start off well and was falling short of other athletes in the initial seconds of the race. Richardson covered the distance in no time and finished the race with an incredible time of 10.65 seconds. In the beginning of the race, it looked like Shericka Jackson was going to take the win home, but Richardson came out of nowhere. She was running in lane 9, and finished the race with absolute finesse.

After she ran like a thunderbolt on the Hungarian track, Richardson became the world champion. With this win, Richardson has also broken the record of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, which she set last year. Shericka Jackson secured the silver for Jamaica with a time of 10.72, and her compatriot and another track and field legend, Fraser-Pryce, was placed third with an impressive time of 10.77 seconds. Following this, Richardson claims the title of the world’s fastest woman and stood atop the podium as she continues to frame a multitude of accolades on her wall of fame.

Her world championships  qualification

23-year-old Richardson secured her spot in the 100-meter women’s final on Monday. In spite of having a stimulating start, she was able to pull herself back from a heat where Shericka Jackson and Marie-Josee Ta Lou finished in a dead heat with a time of 10.79 seconds. Jackson maintained a clear lead and intentionally slowed down towards the end, enabling Ta Lou to precisely match her finishing time of 10.79 seconds, down to the thousandth of a second. Even hours before the finals, Richardson had the second slowest reaction time among the 24 semifinalists. But she managed to bounce back in style, securing a third-place finish in her semi and progressing to the eight-woman final based on her time qualification.
