Before coming to the Millrose Games, Elle Purrier St. Pierre’s heartbeat went faster regarding one track and field occasion. It was the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile contest in New York. The razzmatazz of the event couldn’t allure the new momma in the track and field wear. But that was the first instance Elle Purrier St. Pierre presented herself on the track after giving birth to her child. Eventually, the seventh position in the final couldn’t stop the criticism of being banal in the post-pregnancy period.

But appearing in the contest, the Vermont native sent multiple messages. One was about keeping the loved ones closer to her heart. Another was to boost the ailing mindset of those women out there who faced a similar situation as Elle Purrier St. Pierre did. The Millrose Games added the next episode to it.

Eventually, to make her words heard by the judicious sections, Elle Purrier St. Pierre needed to post an American record on the Millrose Games. Eventually, in the mile short track, she did that on Sunday evening. This time, the former NCAA track and field topper had to complete the race in 4:16.41 to settle her name again in the American record holders’ list. But after that, Elle Purrier bursted with her brewing anger and disappointment at the attacks hurled at her previously. “I’m just really happy to be here. Really proud. Did that for all the moms out there who don’t feel like themselves, but you just got to come back stronger,” she expressed to mynbc5. com

On the same day, she also withered the voices that questioned her performances after her post-pregnancy return to the tracks. Just before coming to the Millrose Games, Elle Purrier St. Pierre was there in Boston as well, participating in the 3000m short track. But unlike the Millrose Games, there the 28-year-old sprinter had to be satisfied with the runner-up position. However, among the praising words, several criticisms surfaced at that moment, questioning Elle Purrier’s resilience. But on that humane side, the Olympian comes from a different league.

The resilience solidifies the commitment part

The pregnancy situation couldn’t deter Elle Purrier St. Pierre from practicing her daily regimes on the track. Only a few weeks before the childbirth she called it off. Giving an excerpt of the situation, the middle-distance runner claimed, “Just because you couldn’t run when you were pregnant doesn’t mean that somebody else can’t…That goes for not just running, but for any other kind of physical activity or job—pregnant women should still be able to do it without being judged.”

That excerpt from the interview with Time hinted at her resilience in the place. However, Elle Purrier St. Pierre’s engagement revolves around her family and sports affairs. To maintain it, she’s always ready to take a stand. She wants others to follow in her footsteps as well.
