“My confidence has now sky rocketed. Let’s go get a world indoor medal!” Noah Lyles roared. The occasion was the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston on Sunday evening. But Noah Lyles’ emphatic words surfaced just after his new 60m record hovered that platform. The dazzling American sprinter hinted beforehand to bring about a special hue to the event this year when Grant Holloway threw a banter on him on IG, just before the Meet. But nobody could expect that the reigning Olympic champion would decimate the 25-year-old World record in the event.

So eventually, the confident Noah Lyles flexed his next target, barring extra thought. Meanwhile, the authority of the World Athletics Indoor Championship paid heed to Noah Lyles’ words. Just after a few hours, an announcement came from their side as well.

When Noah Lyles captivated himself by eyeing another indoor recognition of the highest form, the Glasgow event perhaps smirked behind. On that estimate, the X-handle of the World Athletics Indoor Championships unveiled the medal design just a few hours later. The coveted post went ahead with the caption, “Gold for Glasgow! We’re delighted to be able to share a first look at the medals for #WICGlasgow24”. In the shared snippet, the insignias look to be ethereal. However, the backstory of the designs comes as no less grasping. The Gaelic culture of Glasgow and Scotland made it the center stage of the design. However, the architect, Graeme Clark shares the Swedish connection by birth.

But for him, Scottish culture holds some high ground. In his support, Graeme Clark added, “As a man from Edinburgh, I’ve always enjoyed trips through to Glasgow for various exhibitions, gigs, and shopping. The city has a lot of iconic monuments and structures, that served as the inspiration for the design.” That may have sounded pretty much rejoicing for the athletes waiting to participate in Glasgow. Currently, Noah Lyles is a pretty good contender to earn that medal!

The chances Noah Lyles brings in Glasgow indoor

The World Athletics Indoor Championship is set to begin on March 1 in Glasgow. Just 1 month before that, Noah Lyles made a firm statement in clarifying his medal-earning chance there. His present form would support his statement. Though previously, the World Indoor occasion did not witness the 26-year-old athlete in a raging persona. But after Sunday’s performance, there would be less debate about his ability to bring a medal from there. As of now, the 60m event will showcase the reigning world champion on the participants’ list. But in comparison, his Sunday timing would get a position in the top-three list of the World Athletics Indoor Championship.

Last time in Belgrade, Christian Coleman and Lamont Marcell Jacobs made a world-leading 6.41 to earn positions on the list. That was just fractions ahead of Noah’s latest timing. Eventually, his performance in the 60m event improved over the last several years. On that estimate, the American sprinter is highly likely to earn a podium chance in Glasgow.
