“I will love you forever.” Noah Lyles spoke these sweet words when he proposed to his fiancee this month. It leaves us wondering, how long can he keep that promise? Maybe for eternity! On October 13, the couple, who have been together for almost two years, took to their social media to share the exciting news of their engagement. They posted a video of the proposal, which was filmed just a day earlier, and it’s filled with love and joy.

In the clip, Noah, the Olympic men’s 100m gold medalist from the USA, led his Jamaican girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, a bronze medalist from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, to a lovely outdoor spot. There, their close friends and family gathered around a lit-up sign that read, “Will you marry me?” Then, in a moment that’s sure to be unforgettable, Noah dropped to one knee and held out a ring. Junelle Bromfield happily accepted, showing off her beautiful engagement ring to everyone. The video was captioned: “To my future wife, I will love you forever.” It’s clear that with this promise comes responsibility and compromise, but it seems this couple is all in for the adventure ahead!

But it looks like the engagement ring is causing Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield a little bit of trouble! In a video that Noah recently uploaded, Junelle is still adjusting to her gorgeous new ring. The clip begins with her sliding to the car; when she notices Noah filming, she hums and covers her face, and it is worth noting that she is wearing a ring at that time. With a laugh, she admits, “I’m not proud of it. I’m not proud of it; my memory is not good. The time I remember what time I will leave my ring? No more! I wanna be learning a lot, but I promise I will try next week.” Even after dating for a while, it seems like she’s still getting the hang of this new chapter.

Then Noah asks her, “Anything you want to say to your future self?” Junelle lights up and responds, “Remember to take up your ring in the morning from the bedside. Yeah, because your boyfriend, yeah, your fiance, don’t like it. Your future husband won’t like it, so yeah. But I like my ring; it’s nice.” It is just heartwarming to see their love story as they indulge themselves in an exciting time together. In some time, she will adapt to putting on her ring and of course, this is not the first time they encountered a little snag since the engagement was announced.

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield’s hilarious moving-in adventures

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield are quickly learning that life after an engagement comes with plenty of surprises. Moving in together has brought laughs and little challenges. Noah jokingly complained, “She packed away all the silverware except for four forks!” Junelle, surprised, could only laugh and say, “We need to pack, just think about it.” Their fun back-and-forth continued as Noah teased, “This girl tries to eat with a fork, just got married, and now she’s packing all the thousand washcloths. Guess who doesn’t have a towel?” Junelle playfully admitted, “But guess what, baby? I’ve never moved before!” Chaos aside, they’re clearly enjoying this new adventure together.

Their romantic journey started from a friendship and unfolded over many years. Junelle initiated contact, with Noah through messages in 2017. It wasn’t until they crossed paths in the Tokyo Olympics of 2021 that their bond solidified. Since going public, fans have watched their love grow, and when Noah proposed, he wrote, “To My Future Wife, I Will Love You Forever.” This couple’s journey shows how strong friendships can lead to lasting love, and fans can’t wait to see what’s next.
