In a recent Instagram post, the official LSU track and field account shared glimpses of its athletes’ hard work as they train to make their mark on the national and international stages.

The video clip starts off by stating hard facts: “Everything in the world is a competition“. As the camera pans across the LSU training facility, viewers can hear the resolute words: “It’s talk vs action, dreams vs reality“. The stern words are followed by star track and field athlete Sha’Carri Richardson at an award ceremony thanking her college and training staff who have helped her amass international popularity.

Richardson acknowledges it was these people who encouraged her to work harder and run faster and carve out her own legacy in the sprawling world of track and field.

Once again, the Instagram video shows what being an LSU athlete entails and what is the high benchmark that all must adhere to as part of the LSU Tigers. “Expectations vs achievement“, a small but significant remark helps us comprehend the situation.

Showing small clips of the likes of Duplantis and other LSU athletes who have set world records, the video reminds us that it’s always “…the winner takes all“.
