The Tokyo Olympic silver medalist clinched the gold after clocking 10.03 seconds in the 100-meter event of the 2024 Hurricane Invitational. The three-time world champion was trailed closely by Andrew Hudson of Jamaica with 10.12 seconds and Devine Augustin, hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, who finished third with 10.16 seconds.

The two-day Hurricane Invitational was hosted by Cobb Track and Field Facility in Coral Gables, Florida, on March 15 and 16.

His victory holds significance as Kerley was dropped off the American 4×400-meter track and field team that took part in the recently concluded World Athletics Indoor Championships. It also led to a war of words between him and Noah Lyles. Well, Fred Kerley’s fans couldn’t be happier, as their icon is back on track to silence all the noise, and the comment section of the above video is quite a proof of that.
