This just in, The Paris Olympics has another iconic photo for the world. No, it isn’t like Noah Lyles’ historic photo finish. This time it is an absurd situation. The 5000m men’s heat has turned into a giant meme after Olympians tumbled. That’s right! while running for glory, runners found themselves in a bizarre situation where they had a brutal fall – all at the same time! This unprecedented and frankly unexpected scene has sent the whole track & field community in a giant shock.

Great Britain’s George Mill was involved in an altercation with France’s Hugo Hay. During the final stage of the race, the two collided, leading to Mill falling. However, with him fell three other runners. Eventually, Mills finished 18th and his qualification was in doubt. But the referee advanced him, Lokinyomo Lobalu, Mike Foppen, and Thiery Ndikumwenayo to the next round.

However, the situation became tense after the race. George Mill confronted Hugo Hay and the temperatures kept on rising. But eventually, calmer heads prevailed and the two runners were separated from each other. Still, this wasn’t the end of disruptions. In the second heat, the cameraman inadvertently interrupted the race. 

As the runners took the turn for the fourth lap, the cameraman was walking blissfully unaware of the impending runners. So when the runners began running around him, naturally he was shell-shocked. Luckily no one collided with him but the chaotic day for the 5000m runners had found another weird situation.

But with the 5000m continuously facing disruptions, there’s a sense of growing drama within the fanbase who couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. After all, this was the kind of bizarre view that nobody expects to see in the grandest stage of them all.
