More than 40 customers of the financial investment business Stocks & Securities Limited lost their money in a major fraud that was first reported in Jamaican news sources in January. Usain Bolt, the Olympic sprinting hero, was among those who lost their money. A whopping $12.7 million was invested by the Jamaican superstar in SSL. Since the financial loss, Bolt has updated his social media accounts often, asking the people of Jamaica to rally behind their star athlete.
In a video uploaded on YouTube, Jamaicans discuss their opinions on the fraud that Usain Bolt fell victim to. In the title of the video, they mention, “We Asked Jamaicans, “Will Usain Bolt Get Back His Money” And This Is What They Said…”

Many, higher up the bureaucratic ladder, have yet to confront the mistake that was made a month ago. The Jamaicans, however, have been vocal in defending their national hero, who once brought honor to the island nation as the fastest man on the planet. In the video uploaded by I Never Knew TV, people can be seen giving their honest opinions.
When one lady was questioned, “Do you think you see Bolt will get his money back?” She replied, saying, “He must get back his money.” The Jamaicans seem to have acted with surprising bravado in light of the situation. For the guy who trained relentlessly to become a world-class sprinter, there will be no letup in competition. The people of Jamaica say it’s embarrassing for both the company and their nation that this fraud was allowed to take place.
