Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) confirms that 30 of its investors, including Bolt, have been scammed by an outside wealth advisor. An internal employee was also connected the whole time. The night before the blowup, he resigned from the company.
The notorious scammer wiped out $9,998,000 from the account, which held $10 million. The ex-Olympic sprinter is just left with $2,000 to survive on. Bolt has been investing all his money into this company for the last 10 years. He never saw any issues, and the company had a reputation for being one of the oldest companies in Jamaica, which is what led Bolt to make this investment decision.
Financial Services Commission (FSC) already termed SSL as a company that doesn’t follow generic terms. The company was also involved in unauthorized sales activities before. In 2016, FSC did catch SSL red-handed while committing violations of FSC regulations. Suffice it to say, Bolt is disappointed with the security of SSL and his finance management team.
