The ESPY Awards celebrate the biggest sports achievements every year, and 2023 was no different. This year, some of the most eminent athletes gathered in Los Angeles to honor the accomplishments of the past year. It was a star-studded evening, with performances from big names such as Lil Wayne. America’s crush, Olivia Dunne was also in attendance at the event. And she met someone special that night.

Lolo Jones, or the ‘Charles Barkley of The Olympics’ as she describes herself on her Instagram profile, met up with the famous Olivia Dunne. Lolo Jones, who is a renowned American hurdler and bobsledder, and three-time World Champion, posted several stories throughout the night. She met up with many stars of the sports world, and her fellow LSU-ite.

One thing is to be said about athletes, they transition seamlessly from sweating it down to glamming it up. Lolo Jones and Olivia Dunne were perfect examples of the same on the night of the 2023 ESPY Awards. Jones put up a story on her Instagram account, in which she was seen getting a photo clicked with Dunne. The pair looked classy and alluring in black dresses.

Olivia Dunne wore a black floor-length gown with cutouts and Lolo Jones wore a mini black dress. As Jones made her way toward Dunne for the photo, she tripped on her feet. This is why, while sharing the small clip on her stories, she wrote, “Yes I almost tripped”. Both the athletes then proceeded to pose together for a picture. Olivia Dunne and Lolo Jones are both associated with LSU and have played for the college team. Dunne posted a social media update with Lolo Jones as well, captioning it “Geaux Tigers”, referring to the LSU mascot.

In addition to posing with Olivia Dunne, Jones also shared many stories with certain other superstars. One of them was the legendary boxer, Mike Tyson. While sharing a photo with him, Jones wrote, “No words. Icon”. She also thanked LSU for her presence at the ESPYs, and said, “I would not be here without you.” She also shared a small video with the skiing champion Mikaela Shiffrin. It was definitely a night filled with the biggest name from the sports world.

A rundown of what went down at the ESPYs

The annual award ceremony had many megastars in attendance. Olivia Dunne, Hanna and Haley Cavinder, Alix Earle, and NFL star Damar Hamlin were some of the athletes who shined bright during the night. The Cavinder Twins, Hanna, and Haley, who turned into inspirational WWE stars after they left basketball, also attended the event.

Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany also attended the event. The two-time Super Bowl champion wore a tan suit and Brittany wore a gorgeous black dress. Mahomes also took home the Best Male Athlete award at the 2023 ESPY Awards. The Awards ceremony was the perfect chance for the sports giants to show off their style, as perfectly exemplified by Olivia Dunne and Lolo Jones.
