On September 20th, CitiusMag’s X account dropped a bombshell, a collaboration announcement between Wilson and sportswear giant New Balance. New Balance, renowned worldwide for sports footwear and apparel, proudly introduced its partnership with the young star. The tweet read, “BREAKING NEWS: New Balance Nationals indoor 400m champion @QuincyWilson5 has signed an NIL deal with @newbalance.”

Accompanying this announcement was a heartwarming welcome video from Wilson, brimming with excitement as he embarked on this incredible journey with New Balance. Wilson’s entry into the New Balance family is historic, as he joins the ranks of the youngest high school athletes to score an NIL contract with a sports powerhouse.

At just 15 years old, the sophomore from the Bullis School has created history by being one of the youngest and highest to be signing a NIL deal. Signing a deal with New Balance is no minor achievement for the athlete keeping in mind the brand’s worth and name. As a freshman, Wilson ran 45.87 for 400m at the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field U20 Championships. He was also the New Balance Nationals Indoor 400m champion securing a personal best record.

In essence, this deal has the potential to rival Olivia Dunne’s historic NIL deals. But Quincy Wilson isn’t alone in this exhilarating venture; fellow rising track and field stars, including Sadie Engelhardt, Tinoda Matsatsa, Daniel Simmons, and Ali Ince, have also joined New Balance’s league of name, image, and likeness signings.
