Is Noah Lyles' success a testament to his upbringing? How much credit does his mom deserve?

Amid all the track and field wins and losses, Noah Lyles and his girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, have been dealing with some serious drama in the spotlight. After Noah made a comment that fired things up, poor Junelle got hit with a wave of online hate, and some folks even went as far as to call her a “traitor.” The trolling got so bad that it scared a lot of Jamaicans, and Junelle had to step back from her hometown for a while to catch her breath.

But through all this craziness, Noah was right there, cheering her on and defending her like a champ. He wasn’t afraid to call out the trolls and showed everyone how much he admires Junelle, calling her an inspiration for young girls everywhere. Even though the emotional toll on her was heavy and she thought about making some life changes just to escape the negativity, she found comfort and support from another person who stepped in to lift her spirits during this tough time.

Noah’s mom, Keisha Bishop, has always been one of those moms who just gets it. She welcomed Junelle into her home like she’d always been family. After Junelle moved to Florida, she didn’t expect to be taken care of the way she was. In a heart-to-heart on ‘Sim Soul Sessions,’ she opened up about how Keisha became her rock. She even looked back on how they’d only met once, at the World Championships, before she made the big move. And Keisha? She didn’t even ask for rent, just said, “Come live with us.” That’s next-level kindness.

But that’s not all—while Noah’s mom was offering a place to stay, Noah and his sister Abby Lyles were out there teaching Junelle Bromfield how to drive. In her words, “Noah was bad at it, but they (Noah and Abby) taught me how to drive and everything.” And guess what? A few months after she got her license, Noah even got her a car! How sweet is that?

Noah Lyles has been Junelle’s ride-or-die since 2017, standing by her side through thick and thin, especially during the heart-wrenching loss of her mother in 2019. But fate was generous, bringing her Kiesha, who embraced her with open arms, offering that motherly love we all crave. And now, recently, Noah’s mom took things a step further, showing just how deeply she cares for Junelle Bromfield during these tough times. It’s that kind of support that feels like a warm hug when life gets heavy!

If Kiesha’s efforts weren’t already sweet enough, she decided to level up in the most heartwarming way. Knowing Junelle Bromfield’s love for the mangoes back home, Kiesha went above and beyond by gifting her something truly special—a mango tree of her very own! She shared the wholesome gesture on Instagram, posting a video with the caption, “Got @junellebromfield a mango 🥭 tree!”—and the surprise was just as priceless as you’d expect.

As they walked up to the little sapling, Junelle couldn’t help but be amazed, saying, “Oh, that’s how mango leaves are.” The tree might’ve been a baby plant, but Junelle proudly claimed it, “Everybody, that’s MY mango tree.” Kiesha, being the sweetest, confirmed the gesture with a big smile, saying, “Junelle says she likes mangoes, so I bought her a tree.” And, of course, Junelle added with a playful grin, “So now I’ll be having mangoes in America, the good ones too.” Kiesha was totally on board, cheering her on!

But the funny bit? Kiesha got all concerned about the leaves again, saying she almost prayed for the tree to get better! Junelle Bromfield reassured her, and it’s clear Kiesha’s doing way more than just giving a mango tree—she’s making sure Junelle feels right at home, loved, and totally supported through it all.
