Ever since Sha’Carri Richardson leaped into the arms of an athlete after anchoring the 4x100m relay, rumors began swirling about a possible romantic relationship between the two. Following this, various conjectures formed around their rumored relationship that have caused the fans to wonder if there really is someone in Sha’Carri Richardson’s life.

Sha’Carri Richardson’s new relationship with U.S. athlete

Sha’Carri Richardson brought home the 100m gold at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. She zoomed past the finishing line at blazing speed and only came to a halt in the arms of U.S. star sprinter Christian Coleman.

Their embraced fueled speculations about a budding romance between the two athletes. Recently, popular Twitter user ‘Track Spice’ shared a story from Facebook with the caption, “Sha’carri Richardson and Christian Coleman SPOTTED getting awfully cozy and together everywhere in Budapest”. 

The original story came from Daniel Perez, who wrote it for a private Facebook group called ‘I Love Track and Field’. In the post, Perez described how he spotted Richardson and Coleman at a McDonald’s store in Budapest. As per Perez, both the athletes “were incognito” and did not want others to recognize them. Perez respected their privacy and did not disturb them at the fast-food restaurant.

He saw them together again later that night in a park where Richardson sat on the block wall while Coleman remained on his feet. To Perez, the legendary American sprinters “looked awfully cozy!”

The next day, during check out from the Danubius Helia hotel, Perez saw them together again and asked them for a picture. Both the athletes graciously obliged, which gave Daniel Perez to ask Richardson a probing question. Sha’Carri Richardson’s answer has baffled both Perez and the readers online.

Analyzing Sha’Carri Richardson’s response

Sha’Carri Richardson looked in a good mood, as was evident from Daniel Perez’s groupie. The latter asked Richardson, “wasn’t that you at McDonald’s last night?”

The newly crowned 100-meter champion vehemently denied being at McDonald’s the previous night. Apparently, she said, “I don’t know what you are talking about!”

This reply stunned Perez, who was sure he had seen Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman together the previous night.

He has implied that the reason for the denial is the athlete’s desire to hide their relationship. Perez wrote, “So are they an item/couple?”
