He mentioned that he has been awakened by a sudden surge of adrenaline that made him think that he should be up for challenging none other than 27-year-old Olympic star Gabby Thomas. 

Ohanian in a X post wrote, “Woke up feeling like I should challenge @itsgabbyt to a race 😮‍💨”. With such a challenge, the husband of one of the most dominant forces of the tennis realm is diving headfirst into an uncharted territory. To this tweet, Gabby Thomas replied, “Just need a time and place 😂”. Thomas accepting the challenge in no time has led speculations to reach a different height. Fans can’t help but wonder whether the unparalleled and fierce competitive spirit that his wife is renowned for in the sporting arena has had an impact on Ohanian too, which has led him to propose such a challenge against Thomas.

Fans could not believe the fact that Ohanian is actually up for a race against Thomas and one of them mentioned that they are also up for the same “if it’s an eating race”, and to the same Ohanian replied, “Footrace followed by eating race. Fair”. Although it seemed at first that Ohanian was determined and confident enough about the race, Thomas’ response to his tweet has resulted in a change of stance.
