An engaging 3D simulation has been designed using new-age technologies to figure out who is faster, Kylian Mbappe or Usain Bolt. The simulation envisioned the legendary athletes competing in a 100 m dash. The world knows the Jamaican sprinter as the fastest man alive. On the other hand, Kylian Mbappe is also the fastest footballer. But how would he compare against the legendary Usain Bolt?
Kylian Mbappe recorded a maximum speed of 10.6 meters per second. The French footballer ran the whole pitch length during a match against Marseille in less than 11 seconds. This sparked a debate among sports enthusiasts about Mbappe’s speed and how it compares to Bolt’s. Content creators quickly noticed and devised an interesting way to settle the debate.

The debate would have continued if not for the Youtube content creator who runs a channel by the name Speed Showdown. He calculated the ace footballer’s supposed top speed even though the player had never participated in a track and field competition. His calculations were based on Mbappe’s fastest running speed of 23.6mph or 38km/h. The video received more engagement when shared on the WSN FC’s official Twitter account on June 29.
In the video, Mbappe begins with a solid start. But moments later, Bolt japs past him with lightning speed. The fastest person on the planet, who once set a record of 9.58 seconds in a 100 m dash in Berlin, was expected to deliver such a performance. The creator utilized this speed as a benchmark to showcase the remarkable speed of Bolt compared to Mbappe.
Usain Bolt: The Unmatched Speed Phenomenon
Bolt gradually increased the distance between him and Mbappe with long strides. He was able to finish the race in his personal record-breaking time. Mbappe makes it past the finish line in an impressive 10.9 seconds. Compared to Bolt, it is not too shabby, but it clearly demonstrates the vast difference in speed between the two athletes.

Some viewers are not convinced that Mbappe can finish a match in less than 11 seconds. They have argued that Mbappe does not have the training or physique for sprinting. The resolution of the doubt depends on the unlikely decision of the two icons to compete against each other. For now, we can only hope that Bolt and Mbappe will someday participate in a friendly race to settle the debate.
