Her distinctive fashion sense included a one-legged spandex bodysuit and sporting long painted nails. Today, rising star, Sha’Carri Richardson has also embarked on a professional journey that closely follows suit with the likes of Flo-Jo.

The 23-year-old has already established herself as the next big thing in track and field. With her hard work and dedication, Richardson has earned lucrative deals and recognition, one of the primary being her deal with Nike. It has been more than four years since she signed the deal with Nike as a freshman in 2019. Cut to 2023, Richardson is now a world champion and is now featured in the $36.8 billion brand’s recent campaign.

Richardson was seen posing for Nike’s recent ad campaign, and the stills from this shoot were shared by MR.CARTER on his Twitter handle (now X). He captioned the post, “Personal style is FREEDOM. Let go of expectations, let go of the norms, and just be the you that you truly want to show the world.”  In these pictures, she is seen wearing a black crop top from Nike that she has paired with a skirt and white Nike sneakers. She is seen in her iconic dreadlock hairdo, and in one picture, she is also sporting black shades.

These snapshots were taken from the commercial for Nike’s “Runaway Anywhere” campaign. Alongside Richardson, the campaign also features the famous American soccer player Margaret Purce, also known as Midge Purce. Apart from these two, the campaign also featured a diverse group of women who define fashion by embracing their authentic selves.

Richardson’s victory at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was also celebrated by Nike, and the brand has been proudly embracing their collaboration with Sha’Carri Richardson.

Nike celebrates Richardson’s return in unique way, joining likes of Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali

When Richardson became the 100-meter world champion in August, she was seen wearing Nike’s spikes. Their partnership has been going strong since 2019 when she signed with the Oregon-based brand during her Louisiana State University days. The brand did not give up on Richardson, even when she was surrounded by a doping controversy, and kept its faith in the American star. Two years have passed since that incident and Richardson has already made America and her sponsors proud with her recent track and field prowess.

Sha’Carri Richardson was crowned women’s 100m champion at track worlds with a championship record of 10.65 and helped her team click gold in the 4x100m relay. To glorify the feat, Nike inked the streets to mark the revival of the sprinting genius with a special billboard at the Madison Square Garden Walk of Fame, joining the ranks of some of the biggest names in U.S. sports history, like NBA legend Michael Jordan and heavyweight champion boxer Muhammad Ali.
