Noah Lyles has put his thoughts in words in many interviews. The cool guy of track and field reiterated his desire in a heart-pounding speech at the USATF annual meet. Here’s what he said. 

Noah Lyles’ vision for track and field unveiled 

Noah Lyles took the stage amidst loud cheers to accept the USATF Male Athlete of the Year Award on December 2. Behind closed doors of the Hilton Hotel Hallroom, he explicated his comprehensive plan to take the sport to new heights. Thankfully, popular blogger Track Spice acquired a video of his speech and uploaded it on X with a post that read, “Noah Lyles’s speech about transcending the sport after he received ‘Male Athlete Of The Year’ award by USATF”. He started by saying, “My agent when we first met that I am going to transcend the sport”. Thereafter, he caused the attendees to break out in gasps by revealing the specific steps he had in mind to achieve this goal.

Noah Lyles said, “Whether that’s through walk-ins, whether that’s telling the NBA they ain’t world champions, they didn’t like that, whether that’s having uncomfortable conversations with NFL players, with other track and field athletes”. The NBA “world champion” comment had landed the sprint star in a lot of trouble, however, his clarification seemed to mend the situation. 

Noah Lyles assumes leadership in track and field representation

All that Lyles has done in the months leading up to this moment was to advance his mission for proper representation of his sport. For Noah Lyles the worst fear is being unheard. Therefore, he devised a crafty plan to bring more eyeballs to track and field. For him fame and notoriety are the same as long as they bring attention to his sport.

This revelation has put him on a pedestal in the track community who now respect him as their flagbearer. During his speech, Noah Lyles said, “I know everybody here has a story to tell, I just want to see yáll tell it”. Noah Lyles is truly a hero of track and field and his fame no longer depends solely on his athletic achievements.
