Tara Davis-Woodhall has never stopped short of standing by her husband, Hunter Woodhall’s disability. Be it slamming the ones mocking Hunter’s disability or celebrating his success, Tara has always been at the forefront. Along similar lines, she once again came out to defend Hunter. But this time not for a personal achievement, but for a common cause of track and field.
A few days back, Hunter had expressed his disappointment over an ongoing discussion in the track and field realm. Some critics have continuously stated that the speed sprinters attained in the season-opening races are less-than-impressive, thereby branding them ‘slow.’ Hunter defended the sprinters with his logic. But for that, he was mocked by a user handle, that too with a touch of spice. This infuriated Tara Davis-Wodhall as she once again took things head-on.
Raes Take TV a Track and Field critic recently, reshared Hunter’s X post while writing, “This new generation is double “s” to me. Soft and sensitive. You ain’t gotta defend what us critics are saying.” He’s implied that Hunter Woodhall is being overly sensitive about the criticism. Without stopping there, the post apparently mentioned the use of performance-enhancing d**gs.

It wrote, “Tell the truth. A lot of folks had to get off the super juice and a lot of folks being cautious with their super juice clock. That’s why times are where they are.” It seems that the post meant that right now, there is a tough testing protocol is in place which has curbed the used of PEDs. That is what caused a dip in the performance of the athletes. Tara Davis-Woodhall could not have let it go.
She instantly clapped back, resharing the post while asking, ‘so everyone is on dr**s?” Then, in an apparent jab to the user, she wrote, “i guess you would know…’ But what did Hunter say that led to all these?
so everyone is on drugs? i guess you would know… https://t.co/plvKpVFKXX

The initial post that Raes retweeted was made by @trackspice in which Hunter Woodhall expressed his frustration about “people complaining times are slow right now”, and that track and field athletes are in heavy weight training to be as fit as possible by August. He said, “It’s the Olympic year,” “The goal is August.” And Hunter’s argument is not completely baseless.

This statement is backed by other performances by Noah Lyles and Christian Coleman, who all clocked times around 10 seconds in their respective races at the beginning of the season. Lyles’ being 10.01s in the Tom Jones Invitational and Coleman’s 10.13s in the Xiamen Diamond League. This might suggest they are holding back and saving their top form for the 2024 Paris Olympics. As Tara stood by Hunter in the argument, this is not the first time she has done so.
Tara Davis hypes Hunter whenever she gets a chance
In the past, when trolls made insensitive comments about Hunter’s disability on social media, Tara Davis quickly jumped to his defense. She left a comment on the post, saying, “Does anyone else want to comment about hunter? meet me in my DMs”. In her Instagram story, Tara also expressed her frustration, calling the commenters “uneducated noobs” who thought it was “funny to ‘joke'” about her husband’s disability.

Last year, after finishing seventh in the World Para Athletics Championship, Hunter Woodhall’s win at the Paralympics Track and Field National Championships is one great comeback. Tara Davis was especially proud as she shared an Instagram post, saying, proud of you champ🥇to watch your learn and grow is unbelievable.” Tara Davis has always been her husband’s biggest supporter and had his back, but Hunter has also spoken about how having her by his side means the world to him.
In a FloTrack interview, Hunter said it’s not just about problem-solving, it’s also about being present and attentive in a marriage. He stated, “I’mma be here, I’mma listen…having one person who you trust, who can give your comfort is very important.” In 2021 before their marriage, in an interview with Business Insider, Tara Davis said even though they can’t cheer for each other from the stands because of COVID-19 restrictions in the Tokyo Games, they will be cheering from a distance: “It’s sad that we can’t watch each other at the Olympics, but I know we’ll be cheering each other on.” She further added, “I feel like this speaks to who we are as a couple. We motivate each other and make a good team in a lot of ways.” Indeed, that support came to the forefront once again in the latest incident.
