On the sixth day of the event, Sha’Carri Richardson and Shericka Jackson once again faced each other to grab their lane for the 200-meter finals. However, despite giving each other a heated competition at the event, both athletes were spotted sharing a heartfelt moment after the race. On August 25, World Athletics posted a multitude of stills from the event with the caption “CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER.” In the second picture, Shericka Jackson was seen hugging Sha’Carri Richardson on the tracks of Budapest. Richardson was holding on to the waist of the Jamaican sprinter while Jackson kept her hand on the athlete’s face. Interestingly, they both were looking at the scoreboard to see the results.

Both Sha’Carri Richardson and Jackson were able to qualify for the event. Shericka Jackson qualified for the race by clocking in at 22:00, while Sha’Carri Richardson crossed the line with 22.20 seconds. With this, Sha’Carri Richardson will be competing in a 200-meter final race at the World Athletics Championships. However, the athlete will face tough competition to add one more win to her list.

On August 25, Sha’Carri Richardson will participate in her first 200-meter finals race, at the World Athletics Championship. The athlete who has brought her top-notch game this season is expected to emerge a winner in this event as well. However, beating Shericka Jackson in a 200-meter race will not be easy, as the track and field champion has secured gold in the 200-meter race in Eugene with her personal best of 21:45.
Sha’Carri will also face a strong heat from Gabrielle Thomas, who clocked in at 21.97 seconds, the fastest time of her three heats in the semifinals.
