The track has witnessed many star performers, but none could match the pace that Usain Bolt offered. Starting his journey from the small town of Jamaica, the legendary sprinter created history like no other. The legacy that he has left behind remains unmatched.

Usain Bolt may be technically retired, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have some spring in his step. To demonstrate this, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist humorously accepted a challenge.

Usain Bolt to wear his running shoes again

Flip through any record book, and you will find the Jamaican sprinter dominating. Whether it be one for world records or prestigious athletic events like the Olympic Games or the World Championships, Bolt has engraved his name everywhere.

Usain Bolt holds several world records and is arguably the best sprinter of all time. For Usain to finish a 100m race within 10 seconds is not challenging; he has done it many times. But for a normal person, it may be tough. Especially if you are traveling to Fenit, then dare not cross the field unless you can do it in 9 seconds!

Sharing a post on Instagram, ‘athletics.weekly’ wrote, In his career, @usainbolt went sub-10 on an astonishing 52 occasions, including his world record of 9.58. The bull would have no chance ⚡.”

For the unversed, Usain had earlier on Twitter jokingly accepted a challenge. He shared the famous Kerry sign on Twitter and captioned the post as “‘Let’s Go.”

Since Bolt shared the post, his fans could hardly keep calm. They have their fingers crossed, hoping to see their favorite sprinter wear his running shoes again.

The legacy that Bolt remains unmatched to date

Bolt may have retired years back, but the legacy that he has created is exemplary. To date, he is referred to as ‘Lightning Bolt.’ He competed with the world-record-holding Jamaican 4×100-meter relay team Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, and Yohan Blake. Presently he holds the men’s 100- and 200-meter sprint world records.

With each race, he improved himself and created his own records. Having faced initial hurdles, the Jamaican star athlete worked very hard to secure his place on the world stage. Turning heads, Bolt won the gold medal in New York by defending champion Tyson Gay by more than a second. Eventually, he broke his own record and secured gold in the 100-meter at the Beijing Olympics.
