Australian Olympic middle-distance runner, Peter Bol tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug (PED) test last October. Moreover, the 800-meter record holder was suspended since the sample of the banned drug, erythropoietin (EPO) was found in his blood sample. Amidst all the speculations, it’s been a convulsing ride for the Olympian. However, the Tokyo Olympics hero requested another test as he pleads for his innocence.
Recently, Bol shared a message on his Twitter handle declaring his virtue. Interestingly, many of his fans and folks from the sporting fraternity came forward to support the Olympian.

In his latest Twitter post, Bol wrote, “It is critically important to convey with the strongest conviction I am innocent and have not taken this substance as I am accused”. He further added, “I ask that everyone in Australia believe me and let the process play out”. On this, Bol’s fans and sporting fanatics flocked to the comment section and started the thread of tweets. They wrote,

Some fans even questioned the credibility of the PED tests. One fan wrote, “Why would anyone use it out of season? Must be a false positive“.

Furthermore, extending their support for Bol, some fans penned rather consoling messages for the Olympian. one wrote, “Stay strong Pete. We believe you mate“, while another one wrote, “I feel sorry that you have to go through this“.

Clearly, many from the sporting fraternity stand in support of Bol’s plead for innocence. Moreover, the B Sample results will come out in the month of February as the Olympian mentioned, “I have requested the analysis of my B sample which will take place in February“.
