Fred Kerley is a name synonymous with track and field finesse. The American prodigy has carved a path of his own and has a very unique success story of transitioning himself from 400 meters to the shorter categories and becoming the world champion. This American sensation framed three world championship titles and one Olympic silver medal on his track and field wall of fame.

In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Kerley has attracted attention from prominent brands. More so this year, in February, he signed a deal with Asics, a major sporting apparel brand, which is a rival to Adidas with a market value of $5.68 billion. From his hard-earned money, Kerley has added new wheels to his garage, and the machine is enough to make many heads turn with its aesthetics.

On Tuesday, the Olympian took to Twitter (now X) to share a picture of his newly owned McLaren 720s. He was seen striking a pose with the white coupe and captioned the post, “Price went up.” Kerley was photographed standing in front of the car with both of its doors wide open, and the sunlight enhancing the already splendid picture. This recently acquired beast features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine and carries an initial price tag of $310,500.

Therefore, Kerley’s “price went up” statement is entirely comprehensible. This supercar reaches 0–60 mph in a remarkable 2.8 seconds once the gas is hit, and it also has the capability to cover a quarter of a mile in 10.4 seconds, which is barely a blink of an eye. This is not the only superfast car that Kerley owns, but this double Diamond League final winner has many other expensive possessions as well.
