On March 4, Travis Miller, the NBC Sports Director of Social Media, shared a 5-second snippet on X captioned with ‘Rubbin is racing.’ The clip showcased American sprinter Christopher Bailey waiting for the baton on the track in a relay final as a rushing Noah Lyles did his best to hand it to his compatriot. Meanwhile, Alexander Doom interfered by pulling Bailey backward on the overlapping track, disrupting his chance of swift movement. In the clip, Bailey could be seen evading Doom’s resistance. However, the final result did not favor him or the USA relay team.
