The sky’s the limit, and Quincy Wilson looks determined to reach it. The teenager stunned the world in Paris earlier this year when he became the youngest-ever American track star to win an Olympic gold. However, it looks like more good things are on their way, and the speedster’s girlfriend, Solai Russell, couldn’t be happier to see him flourish.

After his incredible Parisian campaign, Wilson has become a national sensation, almost overnight. From meeting up with legendary rapper Jay-Z to receiving special gifts from the Baltimore Ravens: it’s evident that the Bullis High School prodigy has his fans everywhere. And now, as the newest feather to Quincy’s already illustrious cap is revealed, Russell once again has the chance to profess her admiration for the Olympian.

Dazed100 recently named the Team USA athlete Quincy Wilson as an “inspirational young talent,” spotlighting him among rising stars in fashion, music, art, and beyond. The December 3 Instagram post highlighted Quincy alongside filmmakers Sean Wang and Jeannie Sui Wonder, as part of the Dazed 100 USA—powered by none other than New Balance. With that, Wilson’s status among his fans and the community was once again bolstered. As the British lifestyle magazine nodded its hat toward the track star and his achievements, Solai was justifiably overwhelmed with elation. Russell, a track runner herself, knows the high requirements the sport demands, and seeing her bae bask in admiration from his fans, she looks to be over the moon about it!

Could never be more proud,” Russell wrote on her IG story from the same date, sharing the original post by Dazed. Wilson has found a spot in the first-ever dedicated USA list by the popular magazine, making Russell’s glee all the more understandable. The official website reads, “The Dazed 100 has always been about championing creativity and innovation, featuring the most inspiring change-makers from across the globe,” further cementing Quincy’s status.

In 2024 alone, the 16-year-old track celebrity turned heads with his consistent performance. In the months leading up to the Olympic Games, Wilson shattered the U-18 400m world record multiple times. Then, at the American Track League in Gainesville, he went on to complete the 400m run in a jaw-dropping 44.20 second: the best U-18 in the event at the moment. Naturally, the possibilities of an enigmatic career made every track connoisseur take notice of the 16-year-old, and Solai Russell is only one among the many fans who are smitten by Quincy’s running prowess.
