In the video, Fahnbulleh passionately expresses his belief in Africa’s potential to dominate track and field. However, when posed with the question of how this belief prepares him for the Paris Olympics, his response is reflective and resolute.

From high school phenom to international sensation

Following his recognition as the National High School Coaches Association boys athlete of the year in 2019, Joseph Fahnbulleh received a pivotal invitation from Florida coach Mike Holloway to join the prestigious University of Florida. However, under Holloway’s guidance, Fahnbulleh soared to new heights, by winning in the 200m event at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor National Championships.

Fahnbulleh has also participated in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Also, his stellar performances at subsequent championships, including a notable fourth-place finish at the 2022 World Athletics Championships and his impressive qualification for the finals at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in 2023, marked his third consecutive major 200 meters final appearance.
